Abstract

Hydroponic projects focus on the use of horticultural materials in food production. The project process is simple, fast, and cost-effective. The materials produced are of good quality and can be used by the community. Used mineral water bottle waste is a type of plastic waste that is difficult to decompose and can be used as a hydroponic medium. Hydroponics has emerged as an alternative to farming on limited land, even in home gardens. This community service activity was carried out in Sukaramai Village, Padang Tualang District, Langkat Regency consisting of the preparation, socialization, training, evaluation and results monitoring stages. The results of this activity showed that as many as 100 bottles of used mineral water were successfully used for hydrophonic cultivation of pak choy in residents' yards
